Explore Somewhere New

Many people use turning fifty as an excuse to take a trip somewhere they haven’t been before.  Heidi's headed to the Galapagos.  David enjoyed camping in Death Valley.  Bryanne rode her motorcycle through Central America. I checked out upstate New York and the Rhode Island coast.

Janet gathered girlfriends to celebrate their collective 50th in Croatia.  “Island hopping, sailing, mountain biking along the Dalmatia coast. Rome afterwards for five days,” she reported.  “Great exercise, spectacular scenery, good company and some culture thrown in for good measure.”

Even if you can’t swing a safari or cruise or other dream vacation, there’s nothing stopping you from covering new territory.

What day trips would be interesting or fun for you?  What new places could you explore that are reasonably close?

Hazel and her husband bought a walking tour book with the intent of rediscovering their city together.

It doesn’t have to take a full day.  Are there parks or facilities or galleries other pockets of your community you could mosey around for an hour or so?

Activity: List five places that you haven’t yet explored but would like to.

Activity:  Make a point of visiting at least one of these places this year.
